Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Developer to provide technical leadership for the development, modernization, and support of enterprise software platforms.
The candidate will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of business-critical applications spanning legacy and modern technology stacks. The role involves driving technical decisions, mentoring development teams, resolving complex production issues, and collaborating with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET, Adobe ColdFusion (CFML), JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL Server, combined with strong enterprise application architecture, technical leadership, and modernization experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full Stack Development & Solution Design
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise applications and platform enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, and related technologies.
  • Design, develop, and consume REST APIs to support application functionality and system integration.
  • Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
  • Define development standards, coding best practices, and architectural guidelines.

2. Legacy Application Modernization
  • Drive modernization initiatives across legacy Adobe ColdFusion applications and modern .NET-based services.
  • Analyse existing ColdFusion applications and identify opportunities to improve maintainability, scalability, and performance.
  • Contribute to migration strategies that introduce modern architectural patterns while maintaining business continuity.
  • Support the integration of legacy applications with modern services and enterprise systems.
  • Balance modernization priorities with the stability and availability of mission-critical applications.

3. Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Act as the technical lead for major initiatives, providing architectural guidance and technical direction to development teams.
  • Lead technical design discussions and architectural decision-making.
  • Review solution designs and code to ensure adherence to engineering standards and architectural guidelines.
  • Drive technical excellence, maintainability, and continuous improvement across projects.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps, release planning, and platform modernization strategies.

4. SQL Server & Database Optimization
  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server database solutions.
  • Write and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
  • Perform query optimization and database performance tuning.
  • Investigate database-related production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure efficient data access, database reliability, and performance across enterprise applications.

5. Production Support & Troubleshooting
  • Analyse and resolve complex production issues across application, integration, and database layers.
  • Lead technical investigations and root-cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Support application stability and business continuity across legacy and modern systems.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve technical dependencies and production incidents.

6. Team Leadership & Mentoring
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and development teams.
  • Mentor developers and establish engineering best practices.
  • Lead code reviews, architectural reviews, and technical design sessions.
  • Guide team members in problem-solving, implementation approaches, and code quality.
  • Balance hands-on development responsibilities with technical leadership and delivery expectations.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, Architecture teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to balance business priorities and technical requirements.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum environments to support sprint planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to release management, CI/CD practices, and engineering process improvements.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies
  • 10+ years of software engineering and full stack development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or in a similar technical leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and ASP.NET for enterprise application development.
  • Extensive experience working with and modernizing Adobe ColdFusion (CFML) applications.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs.
  • Advanced SQL Server experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integration patterns.
  • Experience leading technical design discussions and architectural decision-making.
  • Strong production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis experience.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Understanding of application security, software quality, and development best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
