Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented MBA Intern to work closely with our Project Manager and support the day-to-day delivery of client engagements. This role is designed for someone who wants hands-on exposure to how technology projects are planned, tracked and delivered in a real enterprise setting.
You will act as a force-multiplier for the Project Manager — helping keep plans, trackers, communications and reports current and accurate, so the PM can focus on stakeholder decisions and delivery outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to build practical project management, communication and business-analysis skills while working alongside experienced engineering and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination Support
- Assist the Project Manager in maintaining project plans, schedules, RAID logs and status trackers.
- Follow up with team members on action items, deadlines and open dependencies on the PM's behalf.
- Help prepare and organize sprint/status meetings, including agendas, notes and follow-up trackers.
Reporting & Documentation
- Support the creation of status reports, dashboards and executive summaries for leadership and clients.
- Maintain accurate meeting minutes, decision logs and process documentation.
- Help consolidate updates from multiple workstreams into a single, easy-to-read project view.
Stakeholder & Communication Support
- Draft clear, professional written communication (emails, updates, summaries) for internal and client stakeholders.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for stakeholder calls, workshops and reviews.
- Act as a reliable communication link between the PM, delivery team and stakeholders when needed.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct research to support project planning — market inputs, competitor practices, tools or process benchmarks.
- Help analyze basic project data (timelines, effort, risks) to flag issues early to the PM.
- Assist in preparing presentations and briefing material for internal and client-facing discussions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an MBA (any specialization; Operations/ Strategy/ General Management preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — this is the single most important skill for this role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple tasks and follow up independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Word/Docs).
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with willingness to learn project management practices on the job.
Good to Have
- Prior internship or academic project experience involving coordination, planning or client interaction.
- Basic exposure to project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, MS Project or Azure DevOps).
- Awareness of Agile/Scrum fundamentals.
- Interest in pursuing project management certifications (CAPM/PMP) in the future.
- Comfort working with data in Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, charts).
Must-Have Skills
- Good communication skills — verbal and written — is non-negotiable for this role.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and follow through on assigned action items without constant supervision.
- Willingness to take ownership of small workstreams under the PM's guidance.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
Desired Attributes
- Strong sense of ownership and reliability — the PM should be able to delegate confidently.
- High attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving instincts.
- Effective communicator who is comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Eager to learn, coachable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Passion for building a long-term career in project management or business operations.
